Eric FitzMedrud

I’m a father to three kids and a polyamorous husband to two life partners. I’m also bi and kinky. Professionally, I’m an award-winning author, therapist, a sex and relationship coach, and I’m expanding into white men’s racial identity development work. I’m in EBCoM because all my closest friends in the Bay Area moved away. I met several men at an East Bay Meditation Center retreat called “Healing the Father Wound,” and I appreciated that they were emotionally vulnerable to each other. I was going through a vulnerable time in my life and needed more people who could see what I was going through and give me hugs. I have gotten what I needed, and I’m committed to deepening the work in myself, on my team, and in this circle.

Gerald Cypert

Gerald Cypert, 60, brings a powerful blend of lived experience and professional leadership to his work in behavioral health and community engagement. Having spent more than half his life incarcerated, he now channels that experience into mentoring youth, strengthening communities, and offering perspectives that challenge and inspire systems of care. Gerald currently serves as Program Manager for Co-Occurring Disorders at Options Recovery Services, where he supports individuals with complex needs. He has also helped launch school-based programs at Berkeley High School and Berkeley Tech Academy, reaching nearly 2,500 students. An advocate for innovation, Gerald is an AI optimist who embraces emerging technology as a tool for equity and access, especially for underserved communities. He is actively involved in the Oakland Tech Week planning efforts and serves on the advisory board of HumanAligned.org. Through all his work, Gerald remains committed to bridging gaps between systems, generations, and opportunities… so that others can access pathways he once had to find on his own.

Eric Frothingham

I’m a Berkeley-based semi-retired entrepreneur/attorney/non-profit person. I came to EBCOM after the pandemic had caused me to feel isolated, disconnected, and uncertain. Team For All has helped me to feel more connected, purposeful, and whole, and to re-engage with friends and community.

Will Scott

My professional background includes Masters degrees in both clinical and transpersonal psychology, national certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, and extensive training in various energy work modalities. Have been the director of Biotherapy in an acute Rehab hospital and the Clinical Director of a large chronic pain program in a major hospital in San Antonio TX. Recently officially retired from my private practice, but still see the occasional client.

In my decades with EBNOM/EBCOM, I have been on the leadership council as Spirit Chief and again as Event Chief, led the memorable Fall Event of 2001, and have been on many production teams for the Fall Event and Community Campout. Have also been the spearhead for fundraising for the Holiday Dinner Drive for the past three years, and I am also on the Board of Directors for EOBA.
